Skills, Experience and Expertise:
Dato Sri Zukri was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors on 1 November 2023.
 
He has held several key positions in various organisations, including Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji, Managing Director of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Group Chief Executive Officer of BIMB Holdings Berhad and Director of Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDN). Dato Sri Zukri was one of the key team members of Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad (Danaharta) at the height of the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997/1998 where he was instrumental in navigating its loan restructuring and recovery activities. Subsequently, he served as Danaharta’s Managing Director from July 2003 until December 2005.
 
Dato Sri Zukri was the Executive Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, General Manager of Credit Agricole Indo Suez Bank, Executive Committee (EXCO) Chairman of International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Director of Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad, Chairman of Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), President of Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM), Director of Asian Institute of Finance (AIF) and Director of Aafaq Islamic Finance Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Skills, Experience and Expertise:

Dato' Sri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour is the 10th Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, appointed on 1 July 2023. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia since 2016.

Dato' Sri Rasheed joined Bank Negara Malaysia in 1988 and helmed various positions across the breadth of the central bank’s primary functions. These included monetary policy and economics, international reserves management and financial markets, financial sector development, and banking regulations.

Dato' Sri Rasheed played a leading role in driving the central bank’s advocacy efforts on economic affairs, including social protection and labour market reforms as well as advising the Government on issues relating to the management of the pandemic. He also played key roles in the development and implementation of the Financial Sector Masterplan and Financial Sector Blueprints.

At the international level, Dato' Sri Rasheed had served on various international platforms, such as the Islamic Financial Services Board and Bank for International Settlements. He had also championed various efforts to strengthen regional financial integration and cooperation, such as the ASEAN Banking Integration Framework. He had also served as the Alternate Executive Director of the Southeast Asia Voting Group Office of the International Monetary Fund.

Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican

Skills, Experience and Expertise:
Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican is the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance, appointed in February 2023. He was previously the Deputy Secretary General (Policy) and National Budget Director at the Ministry of Finance.
 
Prior to that, Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican held the position of Deputy Director General (Human Capital) at the Economy Planning Unit and Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia. He also served 9 years in the private sector in corporate finance and accounting. 

He currently serves on the Boards of Bintulu Port Holding Berhad, Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad, Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja, Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad, Govco Holdings Berhad, MyDIGITAL Corporation, Pembinaan PFI Sdn Bhd, University Malaya, Malaysia and Chairman of Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia.

Datuk Dr Yacob is the former Accountant General of Malaysia. Prior to this, he was also the Deputy Accountant General of Malaysia (Operation) at the Accountant General’s Department.

He has served more than 30 years in various Government departments and divisions such as the Government Investment Companies Division of the Ministry of Finance and the Malacca State Development Authority.

Datuk Dr Yacob is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant. He currently sits on the Board of MIF Investments Limited.

He currently sits on the Board of Malacca Port Authority.

Dato’ Dr. Gan Wee Beng has held several key positions in CIMB Group including as Advisor for Investment Banking, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Risk Management) and Executive Director at CIMB Bank, CIMB Investment Bank and CIMB Securities Berhad.
 
His other appointments outside CIMB Group were as Senior Advisor, Economics Department of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Consultant to the World Bank, International Labour Organisation and Bank Negara Malaysia. He was also a Research Fellow at the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research.

She is a past president of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association Malaysia Chapter and currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Melbourne, Australia.

Prior to his retirement, he was a partner of the Transaction Advisory Services Division of Ernst & Young, Malaysia. Mr Lee has extensive experience in, among others, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence reviews in a wide range of industries particularly in financial services, IT, oil & gas, manufacturing and services.

Dato Dr. Nik Ramlah Mahmood retired as a career regulator, having served the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) for 23 years until her retirement on 31 March 2016. She joined the SC in 1993 as Manager for Law Reform and worked in various capacities including as Director of Policy and Development, Senior Executive Director, Managing Director and Deputy Chief Executive.
 
She currently sits on the Boards of the Institute Capital Market Research Malaysia, INCEIF University, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, Axiata Group Berhad and United Malacca Berhad.

Skills, Experience and Expertise:
Encik Aznan is the Deputy Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) responsible for the supervision and regulation of the financial sector. He has served in various departments throughout his 21-year service with BNM, including the Financial Conglomerates Supervision, the Governor’s Office, Islamic Banking and Takaful, Financial Sector Development, Financial Intelligence Unit, Financial Surveillance and Bank Regulation Departments.
 
Encik Aznan was previously the Chairman of the Financial Technology Enabler Group, where he was responsible for developing strategies and regulatory policies to facilitate the use of technology in financial services. He also served as the Assistant General Manager of Danamodal Nasional Berhad, the special purpose vehicle established to recapitalise distressed financial institutions during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis.

Prior to this, he was the Director of the Economics Division at the Prime Minister's Office.  He has served for more than 22 years in various Government departments and divisions such as the Debt and Risk Section, Cash and Liquidity Management Unit, Investment Evaluation Section, Strategic Investment Division, and the Economics and International Division.
 
He currently sits on the Board of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad.
