Get ready to be rewarded by capturing and posting your good financial habits
Kuala Lumpur, 27 September 2023: Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia’s (PIDM) FinFit (FinancialFitness) Challenge is back! The 21-day challenge, aimed at cultivating positive financial habits among participants was first initiated in 2021 through the PIDM FinFit Challenge Facebook Group, which drew over 3,000 registered users.
FinFit Challenge 2023 will go live from 1 October in conjunction with the National Financial Literacy Month (FLM), an annual initiative organised by the Financial Education Network (FEN) to provide financial education support and interventions in guiding Malaysians towards improved financial well-being.
“The camaraderie and shared spirit of determination among participants from the past challenges have been inspiring, and they have formed a supportive community that encourages each other to practice sustainable good financial management. PIDM aims to continue this in the upcoming FinFit Challenge 2023 and bring together a community of driven and supportive individuals determined to practice positive financial habits,” said Wan Ahmad Ikram Wan Ahmad Lotfi, Executive Vice President, PIDM.
PIDM’s FinFit Challenge will have a series of simple daily challenges to drive home the message that even the smallest of actions, when done consistently, can gradually transform one’s financial habits for the better.
The challenge is open to all Malaysians aged 18 and above. Participants must follow the Chief BerUang (@chief.beruang) and FEN (@myfenetwork) on Instagram, capture and post their entries with the hashtag #FinFit2023. They also need to set their Instagram profiles to ‘Public’ to allow judges to view their entries and complete a minimum of 10 daily challenges to qualify for the next round, ‘Kuiz Kilat’ on 22 October. The top 100 scorers from ‘Kuiz Kilat’ will compete in the grand final challenge ‘Pentas Akhir FinFit’ on 28 October.
Attractive prizes such as an iPhone 15 Plus 256GB, a MacBook Air 13” 256GB, an iPad Air 128 GB, and 30 x RM50 Lazada shopping vouchers await winners.
Public can also catch Chief BerUang, PIDM’s good financial management icon live at PIDM’s booth at FEN pavilion during Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia event at Setia Fontaines in Bertam, Penang on 30 September until 2 October.
PIDM is an advocate for financial literacy and aims to build a financially literate and resilient Malaysia through its awareness and education campaigns.
